Spine Ailments:

Spine has five portions. Upper portion has 7 vertebrae which is called cervical vertebrae. Middle and lower portion of the spine includes Thoracic Vertebrae (12), Lumbar Vertebrae (5) and Sacral Vertebrae (5), Coccygeal Vertebrae (4).

Symptoms of Spine Ailments:

There are pains in sitting and bending, stiffness in the morning when awakening and lessened back pain with activity. pain that radiates away from the back into the buttocks, leg or hip. 

 Mostly two types of ailments in spine i.e.

1. Cervical Spondylosis

2. Back Pain or Lower Back pain/Slip Disc

Lower Back pain or Backache:

Symptoms of Backache:

Backache mostly feels in the middle or the lower portion of the spine that includes Thoracic Vertebrae (12), Lumbar Vertebrae (5) and Sacral Vertebrae (5). Ache and inflammation in the lower back is called lower spondylitis.  

Causes of Backache –

Sitting posture is not proper, getting up from the bed or any place is not properly, lying or walking in wrong posture sometimes due to not wearing proper shoes, wearing high heels for long time, jerk in back, lazy and sedentary lifestyle. Menstrual irregularity or white fluid is coming out from vaginal part (i.e. leucorrhoea) , lack of nutrients such as calcium deficiency, muscular weakness due to lack of exercise, obesity, defect in the spinal cord, lack of rest and doing more exercise, arthritis, osteoporosis or other diseases, sleeping on too soft bed, lifting heavy weight or any types of injury in back, use of medicines such as steroid etc.

Naturopathy & Ayurvedic Treatment for Backache:

 First of all remove all the above notes causes and depending upon the condition, treatment should be recommended.
